The only reason why you don’t go online is just because the Internet connection is down. Other than that, if you’re not reading this now, you’re sure wondering about checking other news, games, or who-knows what else.

First things first, you need a web browser for that. With the death of Internet Explorer, or at least until the new Edge comes out, you have one less choice to make. No web browser is perfect, either taking up way too many resources, or lacking just those specific features you’re looking for.

Even mobile devices work with modern web browser. So with all the available options, it’s a little difficult to make the right choice. However, we found just the app that lets you analyze, in real time, up to four different web browsers at the same time. Here’s what you need to do.

Comparing and choosing web browsers

Step 1: Download, install, and run BrowseEmAll.

Step 2: Access the Settings menu by pressing the Wrench button in the upper right corner.

Step 3: Choose to Use System Proxy / No Proxy. This makes sure web pages are reached with your default network connection settings.

Step 4 (optional): Add custom resolution settings and a startpage, after which you can Save the Settings menu. A restart may be required.

Step 5: Use the upper right drop-down menu to select one, two, or for simultaneous browser views.

Step 6: Choose a different web browser and resolution for each panel.

Step 7: Write down a website address in the URL field and press enter.

Step 8: Press the Compatibility Report button in case you notice suspicious behavior.

Step 9: Hit the camera button next to the Settings menu button to have screenshots taken. This helps analyze layout defects.

Although there’s no reference or report to resource usage, it gives you a general idea of how web browsers behave in various circumstances. It also emulates several popular mobile web browsers so you also pick the right way to get online from your phone.
