The Human Rights Watch is criticizing the company for posting the ad

An ad for Dunkin Donuts running in Thailand has drawn a lot of criticism for being racist and insensitive.

The company has apologized for using a model with a blackface painted on to sell chocolate donuts.

According to Los Angeles Times, the print advert featured above has been dubbed offensive by the Human Rights Watch.

They comment that it's "rather incredible that an international company like Dunkin' Donuts" would agree to posting the ad.

The Dunkin’ Donuts franchise in Thailand is not the only one to be accused of racism in a country where racial stereotyping is often used in marketing.

However, this just looks to me like just a bit of creative advertising. Do you think the poster is racist? Leave me your thoughts in the comments section.
