Chloe Lattanzi splits from fiancé James Driskill after learning he’s already married, says report

Chloe Lattanzi, the singer daughter of Olivia Newton John, is again dealing with serious heartache. According to a new report, she just found out that her fiancé, James Driskill, whom she was set to marry later this year, is already married.

The report comes from New Idea magazine in Australia, via the Daily Mail. It claims Driskill is a married man but never bothered to inform Chloe of it, even as she started preparations for her own wedding to him.

Admittedly, James met Nina, fell in love with her and married her in 2005. A few months into the marriage, the two realized it wasn’t working out, but they never filed for divorce.

At the time James met Chloe in 2009, he was still living with his ex, even though there was nothing romantic going on between them.

A friend of James’ told Chloe of her fiancé’s past, informing her that he couldn’t possibly marry her later this year when he hadn’t yet filed for divorce from the first wife.

She’s believed to be a mess – and is now being comforted by her mother, who is not a stranger to heartbreak herself.

“Chloe is devastated and so is her mum. She’s had to deal with so much emotional turmoil already in her life, and everyone was thrilled that she finally seemed to find happiness,” a source is cited as saying.

When younger, Chloe led a very public battle with anorexia and, as of late, addiction to plastic surgery and body image issues.

“The publication claims James split from his wife four months before he met Chloe, and he has told friends the reason they never divorced was a ‘combination of lack of money and lack of experience’,” the Mail writes.

Apparently, even if Chloe called everything off in light of the shock she got with the news of the marriage, James still wants to marry her – and is hoping (and begging her) for a 2012 wedding date.

She, on the other hand, will hear none of it.

The Mail says Lattanzi and Newton John’s publicist wasn’t immediately available for comment on the above story.
