SANSUI might sound unfamiliar to you, but I don't blame you at all. With so many ghost brands of PMPs out there, it's hard to tell when something really big will penetrate the market.

SANSUI makes no exception. We haven't heard of these gays before, and we definitely never seen one of their products in the stores, therefore its 6714E portable media player comes as a surprise for most of us. While some of you might just say this is just another slim player from the beloved Chinese manufacturers, my conscience somehow advises me to tell you about some of its features.

Therefore, on the outside, the player sports a "not-so-big" screen display, which brings no fresh air in the industry. The latest model was given a Bond codename of 614E and some surprisingly cool design lines, however, the material they chose looks cheap.

The player's casing is supposed to be made of metal, so nothing original in that. It reveals a 2.8 inch QVGA player and some control buttons arranged in such a Chinese-like fashion that it breaks your heart. And if it makes you feel even better, you should know it is only 8mm thin and supports some games, such as Harry Potter, as well as the popular e-book viewing.

Regarding its capabilities, the player can easily read AVI (DivX) for the video content, MP3, WMA, WAV for music files and also provides JPEG support, if viewing photo albums is a priority for you. The device is compatible with your PC, needs no special software to be handled and it's USB compliant. As for its memory features, the producers say it can store up to a humble 2GB onboard with the extension possibility through the integrated SD card slot.

Sadly, that's just about everything we know about this device, at least for the time being. So, no price and no availability details, yet!
