The man built a meat curtain around his windows to make smoked bacon

This is a rather new way of adapting to smog polluted cities in China, and using the clouds of almost unbreathable air to create smoked beacon by hanging it outside the flat's balcony may be something never seen before.

Photos of a balcony fully covered in strips of meat went viral on the Internet showing the advanced state of pollution that has been affecting Chinese provinces in the last couple of days, notes Daily Mail.

The third floor apartment from Wuhan, Hubei Province, China is hidden under lines of pork meat hanging on the outside part of the balcony and windows. Someone was so desperate to get bacon that they found the easiest way to get their meat smoked.

The curtains of meat strips covering the entire outside part of the apartment are meant to end up a health hazard, and not only because of the toxic smog but also because of other environmental issues that require closed areas in order to create an acceptable final product.

Whether the downsides of the process were taken into consideration it is not known, but the person hanging pounds of bacon at their windows should have taken into consideration that the smog could have some really nasty effects.

Besides the unique chemical-like taste the meat will have after the smoking session is finalized, it may also risk poisoning the wanna-be butcher and his costumers. The source of the smog is not your usual wood-induced process to ad smoky flavors into meat, but a chemical-based release.

Sacrificing its environment for the sake of economic growth, China is now confronted with one of the worst plagues ever. The air pollution in the country is triggered by extensive coal burning and car emissions, all major health hazards.

The fact that the city had to have monitors installed in order to see the sun may have tipped the man that his meat flavoring process will not have the best results.
