The launching of DK109 Mobile Phone was announced at the annual Canton Fair in China. What set the interest of those present is that the phone operates Windows and this for a supposedly small price.

The phone is meant to be, first of all, functional. With a wide display screen, it has an elegant but cold apparel. It cannot compete, though, with other PDA Phones, as technological and design characteristics prove. The producers have not revealed probably one of the most important aspects that concern a PDA Phone, which regards the amount of space that it can expand to and also the email opportunities.

It is a solid phone, measuring 103 mm in length, 49 mm in width and 14.2 mm thick. The QVGA display screen is quite large, as it measures 2.4 inch and has a resolution of 240x320. It supports polyphonic sounds and MP3 which can also be set as ringtones.

Its maximum NAND-FLASH memory capacity is of 512 MB and also has enough space to store up to 300 SMS and 300 records and different items in the phonebook. It also can support T-flash card to expand its memory. Connectivity with the PC is available through a 1.1 USB port.

Another specification provided by its manufacturers was that it supports simple Chinese, traditional Chinese, as well as English. As for its 0.3 camera, it has a 1.3 Megapixels software interpolation which is far from the ones used by DK109's mobile phone competitors.

This Chinese phone makes owning a PDA Phone affordable for many people, but its performances are well reflected in the low price.
