Mandiant published a report in February detailing the cyber espionage operations launched by the Chinese military. However, the revelations haven’t discouraged China from continuing to launch cyberattacks.

According to a new report from the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, the Chinese military only took a one-month break after Mandiant published its findings, Reuters reports.

Then, the hackers simply changed their tools and infrastructure to make their attacks more difficult to detect and trace. The complete report of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission will be published later this month.

Mandiant has confirmed for Reuters that China is trying to steal the same type of data from the same types of organizations as it has before. The only changes observed by experts are in the methods and the malware they’re using.

Chinese officials have once again denied the accusations, questioning the accuracy of the reports.
