It all started out as a joke, Daily Mail writes, but designer Ms Lv posted the shots of her grandfather online, and they became viral. Xianping helped his granddaughter sell 5 times as many clothes as before.
“He picked up one piece and tried to give some advice on how to mix and match. [...] We thought it was fun so we started shooting,” she says.
Fashion means reinventing, not just restyling, and this quirky campaign shows a lot of creativity. It might have been shock value, the quality of the design, or Liu's slim and poised physique, but the campaign doesn't look that bad.
