A 50-year-old farmer from Zhengzhou in the central province of Henan, China, has built a replica of a Lamborghini sports car especially for his grandson.

The grandfather has spent $824 (€601) and six months to build the car, just to drive his grandson to school. The replica is a bit smaller than the original car, but it can reach speeds of 96 km/hour (59.6 mph).

Mr. Guo's creation weighs around 250 kilos (451 pounds) and is made of scrap metal. It is fully equipped and is powered by five built-in batteries. It also has a rear-view mirror, a reverse gear, a stereo system and a horn.

The man put together the luxury car from photos he found online.

“It's just a toy for my grandson. But I can drive him to school in it. It's much better than an electric bike,” said Guo.

Sadly for his grandson, the country' traffic laws say the car is not allowed on the road and it can only be used as a toy.
