Apple is their favorite target

If you're not suffering from nausea, you are going to. China does some cloning again, introducing a portable media player, which shamefully rips off iPod's Nano design line and some of the key features. It's true you get to see Apple's ripoffs on a daily basis, but this time what really annoys me most is what they claim to be something to add flavor, nothing at all, to be more specific.

For reasons unknown, the Chinese makers keep calling these portable devices MP4 players. On our planet, we call it PMPs. Dubbed MP4-21, the device is propriety of the "in-famous" Schenzhen Sietek Industrial, one of the underground brands with a low profile upon gadgetry. I guess there is not much to say about the design, as it resembles Apple's with a minor change in the click wheel's control scheme.

The outside part of the player features a 2.4 inch TFT screen display with 262.000 colors, as well as an USB port connectivity host and a miniSD card slot, in case the internal storage capacity - which is unspecified - might prove insufficient. This gizmo allows multi-lingual support for 27 languages, meaning it won't target only Chinese shores, at least not yet! What? No Hindu in there?! Hmm?

And when it comes to its capabilities, they were boosted up as expected, making the device capable of dealing with lots of file formats on the market, such as WMA, MP3 and WMV audio files, as well as WMV, MTV videos and JPEG formats for photo playback options. Sound performances are also expandable, as it features seven equalizer modes.

As for the extra specs, these are said to be the gaming capabilities and more. Don't despair, Mac users! It only works with Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP. Official price? Not mentioned, yet!
