Intel chips show up in more and more budget offerings

Not so long ago, we brought you news that Intel has started pushing its chips to white box tablet vendors in China.

But it seems some of the company's processors can be found in budget notebook offerings produced in the country too. For example, the Kingdel 13.3-inch laptop ships to the US at the super affordable price of $168 / €122 (taxes are not included in the price).

The laptop comes sporting a 13.3-inch TFT LED display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The manufacturer has integrated an Intel Atom D2500 1.86GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Even if this is by far the latest Haswell architecture, it’s still pretty amazing to see Intel power up this Chinese no-name product.

Customers are awarded 160GB of storage with the model. There’s a 1.3MP frontal camera, Wi-Fi, optional Bluetooth and a 4500 mAh battery. The notebook ships with Windows 7 Ultimate and is available both in white and black. The whole bundle weights 1.45 kg / 3.19 lbs, so it won't weigh on you, while you're on vacation.
