While some are busy trying to rescue the people harmed during China's latest 6.6M earthquake, others are doing their best to convince the country's pandas to climb down from their trees.

By the looks of it, the animals took refuge in these trees when the earthquake first struck, and they are now so scared that they are refusing to come down on the ground. Times of India says that the pandas living at various animal sanctuaries across the country have managed to get over their trauma with the help of the people in charge of looking after them.

“Giant pandas are timid in nature. These pandas were frightened by the quake. Staff comforted them immediately and now they all remain emotionally stable,” a staff member at the Bifengxia Panda Base reportedly told members of the press.
