If a cheap Ferrari mobile phone is not exactly what you need, maybe a Mercedes Benz fits your tastes better. Of course, such a handset would first need to exist and to be commercially available, but that's not a problem anymore: a Chinese manufacturer has come up with COOLF5, a mobile phone that mimics the look of the aforementioned famous Mercedes car.

The COOLF5 comes in a fiery red color and, at a first glance, it looks like a toy. However, the device intends to be a serious one, as it packs a set of features targeted at any regular mobile user.

Unlike a real Mercedes car, though, the Mercedes mobile phone is far from being fast. The device only comes with dual-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 MHz) and GPRS, hence its owners will not be able to surf the Web or transfer data at decent speeds.

Moving on to the handset's features, we have: a 2.2 inch TFT display with 260K colors and a QVGA resolution (240 x 320 pixels), dual SIM capabilities, WAP browser, email, SMS, MMS, Bluetooth, Music player, Video player, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, polyphonic ringtones, e-book reader, support for English, Chinese and other languages, calendar, alarm clock, calculator, scheduler, Notepad and so on.

The red Mercedes handset measures 120 x 51 x 22 millimeters and weighs 122 grams. Its battery is said to offer between 120 and 500 minutes of talk-time or between 150 and 520 hours of stand-by time.

The COOLF5 Mercedes Benz-wannabe is available for only 999 Chinese yuan, the equivalent of about 145 USD or 95 Euros. Interested users can find the handset at this online retailer from China. Anyway, since the phone's producer is an anonymous one, we seriously doubt about its proper functionality, hence we don't advise anyone to buy it unless he/she can test it first.
