Officials in the city of Beijing in China have ordered a man who has spent years building a mountain-like villa on a 26-story building to tear it down.

Demolition works have already started on this urban castle. As I have reported before, it was built in a busy part of the bustling city, the Haidian district.

The owner of the castle spent six years building it, and he has now been granted only 15 days to tear it down.

Neighbors have opposed the construction from its inception, fearing that the lack of legal permits does not protect them from cracks, leaks and structural damage.

According to NBC News, the elusive owner has been identified as one Zhang Biqing. He is a doctor in traditional Chinese and he has made a fortune with a chain of medical clinics specializing in acupuncture.
