14 DAY TRIAL // A woman in Chile has an unusual condition that doctors cannot seem to diagnose. 20-year-old Yaritza Oliva is crying tears of blood, and that has only been happening for the last month.
According to The Sun, Yaritza could be suffering from haemolacria, which could be a side effect to a more serious illness. So far, there have been only three documented cases of people registering the same condition.
She also experiences pain, but physicians have had no other alternative than to prescribe her eye drops, since no infection has been spotted.
The Yaritza family, from Purranque in Chile, cannot afford a more detailed medical investigation, and they are asking for donations.
Haemolacria manifests itself by bloody tears emerging several times during the day, and they could be signaling the existence of a tumor or just high estrogen levels.
