Child of Light, the delightful turn-based role-playing game from Ubisoft, will be making its way onto the PS Vita, after already launching a few weeks ago on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U platforms.

Ubisoft has been making its mark on the industry by publishing lots of big and impressive franchises, like Assassin's Creed, but also Far Cry and much more. However, its many internal teams aren't forced to work on just big blockbuster series, as the company has made it clear that it also wants to release smaller experiences.

Such an example is Child of Light, coming from the publisher's Montreal team, which launched at the end of last month onto the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U platforms, delivering a delightful role-playing game experience.

Now, Ubisoft has confirmed that the new title will make its debut onto one more platform, in the form of the PS Vita.

This effectively means that the game, powered by the UbiArt Framework engine, will launch on the same platforms as past titles, like Rayman Legends from last year.

The game is set to debut on July 2 worldwide via the PlayStation Store. In some regions, a retail complete edition will also be sold, which contains the title as well as its DLC bonuses, like a new quest, a new character, and a pack of real-life collectible items.

In case you forgot about the game, check out a description from Ubisoft about its ambitious role-playing experience.

"Child of Light is a re-imagining of classic fairytales set against a picturesque background inspired by the watercolor artworks of The Golden Age of Illustration. As a playable poem, Child of Light takes players on an extraordinary journey through the mystical world of Lemuria by putting them in the shoes of Aurora, a young princess who must win back the sun, the moon and the stars held captive by the mysterious Queen of the Night."

"A return to the classic JRPG, Child of Light blends together platforming and turn-based combat along while providing a rich storyline, robust soundtrack and beautifully-rendered hand drawn art style."

The game impressed quite a lot of players across its many platforms when it was released last month, and you can bet that plenty of PS Vita owners will also enjoy it. Unfortunately, it won't be available via Cross-Buy, meaning those who own the game on PS3 or PS4 will have to rebuy it on the portable platform.
