A resident of Guizhou in Southwest China has had one of her chickens lay a monster egg, with a smaller egg and two other yolks inside.

The Guinness Book of Records does not award record titles for Biggest Chicken Egg in the World just yet, but I'm sure this one would be in the competition.

According to The Independent, its size was about three times that of a regular one and it weighed approximately half-a-pound (226 g), more than the two-in-one 6.25-ounce (177-g) egg I spoke of in January.

Heavy writes that the 87-year-old owner of the miraculous chicken only feeds it rice, which may be the key to the unusual phenomenon. In the week prior to it laying this egg, it has laid several others containing two yolks.
