Witnesses detailed the impact that prompted 48 hospitalizations in a Chicago suburb, when two Blue Line trains collided this morning.

The accident took place during rush hour in the Harlem station. The station is located in the town of Forest Park, near Harlem Avenue and the Eisenhower Expressway. The aftermath of the Chicago train crash has been caught on aerial cam.

An out-of-service Blue Line train crashed into a second one, parked in the station. Passengers have described a slow speed collision, and none of them has been badly hurt. The driver of the moving train was alerted about a possible crash by witnesses to the scene.

"I was waiting for my train. Time to go to school. I heard screaming, 'Stop the train, stop the train, slow down.' It seemed like the train going toward Forest Park bumped back a little bit," Taylor Pettigrew recalls for local station WTVD-TV.
