Duet with Gary Barlow is harshly criticized: she can’t sing to save her life

There's a reason why Cheryl Cole hardly sings live and a complicated choreography has nothing to do with it. Fans are terribly disappointed in her performance at the Diamond Jubilee Concert, where she duetted with Gary Barlow.

The duo, looking their best in black and white outfits, took to the giant stage to perform for the Queen and the Royal Family the hit song “Need You Now.”

You can see a video of it above.

Until the backing singers and Gary himself started singing, Cheryl was doing a very poor job at it. In fact, she fared well below even the most pessimistic expectations.

Disappointed fans have already started discussing on dedicated forums whether she has any right to call herself a singer since, obviously, she can't really do much of it. Perhaps performer would be a better term for her.

We usually like Cheryl, shortcomings and all – but this time she really messed up. She's flat, out of tune and completely out of it, to the point where we almost feel sorry for Gary for having to stand next to her.

Check out their performance and let us know what you make of it.
