In the past, Cheryl Cole has often come under fire in the media for her weight, with rumors running rampant that she’d go to extreme lengths to prevent weight gain like starve herself. Each time this happened, she denied reports, saying she was healthy, though thin, and insisting she was committed to staying as healthy as this in the long run. As a piece in the Daily Mail proves, Cheryl is again targeted for her weight.

The other night, the singer attended the Glamour magazine awards, where she was honored with the Woman of the Year distinction and once more opened the door to speculation on her weight, mostly because of her choice for a gown and hairstyle. The usually very slim (and toned) Cheryl opted for a very low cut dress and big hair, which, in turn, made room for talk of whether her “lollipop head” was not a clear sign that she should start taking better care of herself.

“She has spent the last few weeks furiously travelling the globe. Which explains why there isn’t an ounce of excess weight on Cheryl Cole’s formerly curvy frame. But her willowy figure body was exaggerated by her strange choice of piled-up hair which gave her a ‘lollipop head’ look in her lingerie-style dress. The 26-year-old was the guest of honor at Glamour magazine’s Woman Of The Year prize, where the soon-to-be-divorced pop star picked up the main prize,” the Mail writes.

“She was dressed in a specially designed Julien Macdonald gown with a flowing train and was presented with her award by heart-throb actor Jason Lewis, best known as Samantha’s boyfriend Jerry ‘Smith’ Jerrod in SATC. The star, who has filed for divorce from errant footballer Ashley Cole, 29, managed a smile as she made her entrance to the ceremony in Mayfair, central London,” the same publication goes on to say, hinting that there may be more to her weight than just the dress and big hair.

Then again, this would come to contradict what Cheryl herself was saying earlier this year, when she lashed out at critics picking on her for her svelte frame. One of the biggest advantages of her schedule, which could be described as hectic at best, she said, was that she no longer had to work out. As for dieting, she stuck with the Blood Type Diet, the singer also revealed at the time.
