Cheryl Cole is now officially Cheryl Tweedy, as it took a judge no more than 60 seconds to pronounce her divorce from Ashley Cole final. The latest issue of Vogue magazine brings the first interview with the singer since separation.

As fans must know, at the beginning of the year, Cheryl saw her name in the tabloids again, after several women stepped up to claim they had affairs with husband Ashley.

As Cheryl immediately boarded a plane to Los Angeles to wait until the things settled down, she chose to remain quiet on the topic, only saying on her official page she and Ashley had separated.

Even later, she filed for divorce – but she continued to refuse to talk about the cheating scandal to the media. Which is precisely what makes this issue of Vogue so special, as the Daily Mail can confirm.

This was the second time Ashley cheated on his wife and, understandably, after defending him repeatedly in the media, Cheryl must have felt terribly hurt and betrayed.

“Yes definitely I do,” she says when asked if she feels betrayed. “But I’ve got to take everything that’s happened and learn from it,” she goes on to say.

If there’s one thought that makes her happy when thinking about the divorce is that there were no children involved, which means she and Ashley were the only ones hurt by the separation.

“I’ve just got to be grateful that I’ve got so many good things going on. I have. And there’s no children you know?” the gorgeous singer and reality star says.

“Some people’s lives fall apart. Of course, it’s heartbreaking, but it’s not anything remotely like it could have been and I’m very, very grateful for that,” she adds.

However, even though she can see how children may have made the separation even more painful than it already was, that’s not to say Cheryl doesn’t plan on having some one day.

“That’s definitely something I want to achieve. It’s the toughest job in the world – but I know it must be the most rewarding too,” the singer tells Vogue.
