Cheryl Cole of the Girls Aloud, the cute and tiny judge on the X Factor, has often been criticized for her small frame, which made room for speculation on whether she was starving herself. Far be the thought from her, the star says in a recent interview with Hello! magazine, as cited by the Daily Mail. In fact, she sticks to the Blood Type Diet and never works out.

The Blood Type Diet consists of eating only the foods that go with your blood type, and, of course, avoiding those that don’t. This alone is supposed to help you stay in top shape and never gain a single pound, while also ensuring you are healthy. To cap it all off, Cheryl says that the diet and her busy schedule are enough to keep her in such enviable shape, which is why she can boast of one thing that few other female stars can brag: she never works out.

“I watch what I eat, not to stay slim but to feel good,” the singer admits in the aforementioned interview. “Recently my mother told me about Eat Right 4 Your Type, in which you’re told what to eat and what to avoid depending on your blood type. It has made such a difference – not so much to my shape, but to how I feel and my energy levels. Before I was like ‘energy schmenergy’ and didn’t believe it. But now I believe it 100 per cent,” Cheryl adds.

“I have a really hectic schedule but it does have some health benefits – I get to work out without working out. It’s literally full-on performances back to back, and all the choreography, training and rehearsals that go into them, that’s a real workout,” she says of working out. As for her biggest weakness, that would be sweets. “My only trouble is that I can’t do without sugar. I think I might have some sort of sugar imbalance. Sometimes I feel like I just need a chocolate bar. To be honest you can’t put yourself under that much pressure, so I don’t deny myself anything,” she explains.

As also noted above, more than on a few occasions, Cheryl came under serious fire from the media for her tiny frame, which, it was said, could only be the result of her starving herself. Every time these rumors came to print, the singer made huge efforts to squash them: she was slim because she was so naturally, and the only time she dieted she tried the Atkins Diet because she needed to lose a few pounds fast, she once told Vogue magazine.
