Despite being one of the best selling pop acts in the UK and Europe at the moment, while also a guest on arguably one of the most watched British shows, there still are some who claim that Cheryl Cole (Girls Aloud) is getting much more media attention that she’s worth. Readers of FHM magazine though would beg to differ, having just crowned her the hottest woman for 2010, which is the second time the petite singer gets this honor, MTV UK informs.

The race was tight but, eventually, Cheryl came out as the winner. Second spot went to “Transformers” stunner Megan Fox, who often insists in media interviews that she’s not really the bombshell she’s cracked up to be. Victoria’s Secret Angel Marissa Miller came up on third, followed by Frankie Sandford and British glamour model Keeley Hazell. “Twilight” star Kirsten Stewart landed at number 6 (this year’s highest new entry), followed by Kelly Brook, Adriana Lima, Jessica Alba and Abbey Clancy.

Cheryl “is still a favorite with men across Britain after topping the poll for a second year running. The Girls Aloud singer, beat off tough competition from the likes of Transformers actress Megan Fox and Victoria Secret’s model Marissa Miller who came second and third respectively. FHM Editor-in-Chief, Colin Kennedy claimed the X Factor judge was an obvious winner for this year’s poll stating: ‘After hogging the headlines and dominating TV screens for 12 solid months the nation’s sweetheart romped home for a second successive year, leaving all challengers in her curvaceous wake’,” MTV writes of the big winner of this year’s title.

Of course, the list does not stop short at 10, for there are 90 other women from all areas of showbiz featured in it, from reality shows to music and, of course, film. “Other stars that featured in the top 100 [hottest] women included N-Dubz leading lady Tulisa, The Hills’ Audrina Partridge and K-Stew’s Twilight co-star Ashley Greene who all made an appearance in the top 20,” MTV further says.

Other reports in the British media say over 1 million votes were cast for this year’s list of hottest women. Though the race was pretty tight at one point, many bookies bet on Cheryl, which truly confirms that she was a sure win.
