Cheryl Cole is preparing for the challenge of her life: trying to break on the US market, with her position as judge on the upcoming reality show, the US version of X Factor. As such, she’s already on a diet, getting ready for the job.
Though an official announcement is still to be made and Simon Cowell has only confirmed that
he wants Cheryl on the show as judge, the
Daily Mail claims the singer is already working for her arrival in the States.
In other words, she’s nearly starving herself to lose weight by going on Tracy Anderson’s baby food diet.
“Some of the biggest names in showbusiness
including Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna and Beyonce are all said to have tried the food program – so in her bid to break America Cheryl Cole appears to be following in their footsteps,” the Mail writes.
“The Girls Aloud singer is said to be the latest star to have turned to celebrity personal trainer Tracy Anderson’s baby food diet in a bid to get into the best shape possible to launch her career Stateside,” the tab adds.
Though Anderson says her diet is one that allows the dieter to eat, while also losing weight, the truth is that mostly pureed food is allowed.
“The Cleanse Diet involves eating 14 servings of pureed infant food a say before a healthy adult dinner in the evening,” the Mail points out.
As we
also noted a while back, nutritionists don’t approve of cleansing diets – and this baby food diet is no different, even if it aims to appear so.
The pureed food is sweet and very un-filling, which means there’s a very concrete feeling of hunger sticking with the dieter throughout the day.
The idea of the diet is that it emphasizes portion control, while having the slimmer eat food that has fewer additives than normal, adult food.
The price is a disadvantage though, as also is the calorie number (the baby food diet clocks in at 1,000 calories). There are other, healthier options available, nutritionists
point out.
