Confession time: I like Cheryl Cole. She’s a decent pop artist who pays a lot of attention to the details that make any appearance or performance memorable, from the fashion to the choreography and, even though she’s by no means a stellar vocalist, she has still managed to stay relevant for over a decade.

This fall, she’s making a comeback after a 2-year hiatus, with a new album that’s yet to be named officially. Her first single off it is called “Crazy Stupid Love” (no relation to the Ryan Gosling movie, but I know you thought about it) and will be available as of July 20.

Just hours ago, Cheryl also released an official video for it, which you will find embedded below in full. It was directed by Colin Tilney and was shot over 20 hours in Hackney, with lots of help from a considerable troupe of backup dancers.

Not that tiny Cheryl is letting them give her a run for the money. There is no deeper meaning to the video other than that she and her friends are dancing their backsides off at the club, but, even so, it’s not boring to watch – especially not when Cheryl gets her twerk on, in a tiny top and loose pants, with her ripped abs and giant back tattoo on full display.

“The video isn't what I've done before and in terms of lighting and stuff, it's a bit more grimy!” Cheryl said a few days ago. “‘Cos the songs quite up, and pop, it's got that feel, so I wanted it to have the urban twist. It's a bit more of that urban vibe.”

It’s got that urban vibe alright but, as for that “grimy” part, I’ll let you see for yourself. Enjoy!
