Cheryl Cole breaks her silence after the recent public humiliation on the US X Factor

After being sacked so unceremoniously from the US version of X Factor, Cheryl Cole went into hiding. Her whereabouts remain unknown, but at least her fans should be happy to hear that she’s OK and looking forward to coming back to work again.

The British pop singer lasted on the show no more than just 5 days during the auditions stage, after which she was fired, with no solid reason for it, as per reports in the media.

That same day, Cole was out of the US and presumably back home, though the British tabs couldn’t track her down to get her talking, or at least snap her picture.

Since then and until yesterday, speculation about Cheryl’s state of mind after the public humiliation ran rampant, with some even saying she was thinking about retiring from television altogether.

That may still be true but, according to the open letter to fans she posted on her official webpage, Cheryl is keeping upbeat about everything that’s been happening in her life as of late.

“Where do i start?” Cheryl writes, after thanking her fans for the undying support they’ve shown her all this time, and especially these past few weeks.

“I have had the weirdest past few weeks (nothing unusual there though.) I wouldn’t even know how to begin to tell you all about it. What I do know for certain is that I have the BEST, most unbelievable people out there, who I feel so lucky to call my support system,” she says.

“You never fail to amaze me. I have been reading your letters and opening my prezzies (I feel very spoilt) and hearing all of your kind, special and inspiring things you want to say to me,” Cole adds.

She also says she’s been spending the time away from the spotlight with her family, friends and beloved dogs, and adds that she’s eager to share good news with the fans when she has any to share.

The time off did her good, however.

“It feels long overdue and sooooo good, even my feet are happy to not have to wear a pair of high heels hehe..” Cheryl jokes.

Right now, Cole’s plans are a mystery: word in the British tabs has it she’s one of the frontrunners for The Voice, in which the BBC has invested £22 million to port to the UK.
