This iPad mini look-alike ships at a very affordable price

If for some reason you’re looking for an iPad mini replacement (usually because of the price), at least in terms of aesthetics, well-known Filipino manufacturer is offering a pretty decent alternative.

The device has bombastically been baptized the Superion Odyssey and arrives with a 7.85-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen, with an unknown resolution, quite possibly 1024 x 768 pixels, but I can’t be sure.

The Superion draws power from a 1.2GHz quad-core processor combined with 1GB of RAM and backed up by 8GB of internal memory (expandable to 32GB via microSD). Like the iPad mini, the Cherry Mobile slate has a 5MP camera on the back (and 2MP in front).

The tablet obviously runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, embeds a decent 4,000 mAh battery and is equipped with a single SIM that allows users to place phone calls.

Superion can also easily connect to the Internet everywhere, as it supports 3G, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi. Anyway, interested parties can purchase this iPad mini wannabe for Php 7,499 / $166 / €122.
