Chelsea Handler explains Angelina Jolie joke, says she’s been doing it for years

The other day, a video of Chelsea Handler calling Angelina Jolie a homewrecker and other things that can’t be reproduced in writing surfaced. In her show, the comedienne explained the rant, saying it wasn’t something new.

At the time the video went viral, it was believed Chelsea had only verbally attacked Jolie as a sign of loyalty to her new friend Jennifer Aniston.

In fact, as we also informed you, sources close to her vouched this was the case, saying Handler believed it was her duty (of sorts) to speak out on something the entire Hollywood believed was true.

Not really, Chelsea said on her latest show, as the video below will confirm. She’s actually been cracking Angelina jokes since forever, which is why she doesn’t understand why people are making a fuss of it just now.

“They were talking about me on The View, talking about me and my Angelina Jolie tirade,” Handler said on her show, eager to explain the so-called “Angelina Jolie” rant.

“Can I just say that I’ve been making fun of Angelina Jolie since she made out with her brother?” she explained, referring to the much mediated and debated 2000 Oscars kiss, when Jolie locked lips with her brother James Haven.

Handler then went to crack a joke at her own expense, saying, “If I’ve learned nothing from this, it’s to write new jokes.”

For those not in the know, during one of her recent stand-up shows, Handler went on a tirade against Angelina Jolie, saying she was a homewrecker who was just trying to get people’s attention diverted by playing the humanitarian.

Handler also put a woman who had stood up to defend Jolie back in her place, yelling at her that she was “a homewrecker too” for trying to deny the obvious.

“She’s a homewrecker, she is. She can rescue as many babies from as many countries as she wants to. I don’t [expletive]-ing believe you. She gives interviews, ‘I don’t have a lot of female friends.’ Cause you’re a [expletive]-ing [expletive]... you’re a [expletive]-ing [expletive],” Handler said.
