Chelsea Handler is a single woman again. The comedienne showed up at the recent Glamor awards alone, which has sparked talk of how she and hotelier Andre Balazs are no longer an item after dating for about a year.

The first claims that Handler had moved on from rapper 50 Cent to Balazs, once linked in the press to Courtney Love, emerged in the press early this year, when the two attended a film festival together.

By May this year, they had sort-of confirmed they were romantically involved by attending a public function together and, eyewitness vouched at the time, acting very like lovers.

Sources are now telling PageSix that Balazs and Handler are no longer together and that the breakup must have surely occurred shortly after Halloween.

“The comedienne and host of E!’s 'Chelsea Lately,' who received a Glamor Women of the Year Award last night at Carnegie Hall, walked the red carpet without Balazs by her side,” PageSix writes.

An unnamed source claiming to be a close friend of Chelsea's confirms that she is, indeed, a single woman again.

“She’s fine. If she’s feeling down, she’s certainly not showing it,” says the spy.

Indeed, Chelsea didn't look even remotely upset at the event, posing on the red carpet on her own or with good friend Jennifer Aniston, and beaming that wide smile of hers.

The aforementioned media outlet believes distance and very busy working schedules might have played an important role in the split.

“It was not immediately clear what provoked the split, but Handler tapes her show in LA while Balazs spends much of his time in New York. The two were first spotted together in January at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, where they looked cozy at several parties,” PageSix writes.

“Handler and Balazs continued their public displays of affection at the Super Bowl in Dallas, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, and at Handler’s signing in May of her fourth book, 'Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me,' at (where else?) the Top of the Standard,” the publication further says of the now-defunct romance.
