A pair of shoes that bears the name Scary Beautiful, by designer Leanie van der Vyver, has been dubbed the Scariest of All Time by Reddit and Imgur users.
The designer from Cape Town, South Africa has worked on the artsy shoes with manufacturer René van Den Verg. Van der Vyver's concept of inverting heels' and insoles' locations has been featured on
DesignBoom as well as on a number of other fashion and art discovery websites.
An angled heel keeps the woman wearing the shoe from falling on her face, however creating a visible tilt effect. Buckles keep in place the wraps supporting the ankles.
If one were to wear them, they would struggle with the fact that their body would be inclined forward at all times. Walking would also be difficult, since the owner of the shoes would have to maintain a pointing position at all times.
