Nintendo organized another one of its now trademark Direct video conferences yesterday, and now the official recording of the presentation has just been made available, for those who missed out on it or who want to recap all the major announcements, such as the new 3DS and 3DS XL models, or the many games confirmed for them.

Nintendo has taken a novel approach to communicating with its fans in recent years, as the large Japanese company no longer does lengthy presentations to media representatives, instead relying just on the special Direct video conferences, which are available to everyone around the world.

Nintendo Direct for January 14, 2015, is now available on demand

The latest such presentation took place yesterday, January 14, 2015, and brought forth a huge amount of details about all sorts of surprises coming from Nintendo and from its third-party partners, such as Capcom.

Of course, the most important was the reveal of the new 3DS and 3DS XL models that will appear in February both in North America and Europe, after having already made their debut in Japan back in 2014. The new models boast a more powerful processor, head tracking for better 3D effects, better controls thanks to a new analog nub and a few buttons, and last but not least, near-field communication (NFC) to allow Nintendo's own amiibo figurines to work with the platform.

Besides the new models, Nintendo also brought forth release dates for The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (February 13), Monster Hunter Ultimate 4 (February 13) Xenoblade Chronicles 3D (April 2), and many others.

Wii U fans also got plenty of announcements

Owners of Nintendo's Wii U have also received their fair share of announcements, with Splatoon getting a May release date, Mario Party 10 getting a March 20 launch date, while Xenoblade Chronicles X was confirmed for a debut in 2015. Specific Wii games will soon be available for the Wii U as downloadable software, meaning that owners of the new console shouldn't put their device in the old Wii mode to download them.

Additional details were shared about other things, so check out the full presentation videos below for North America and for Europe, respectively.
