Set up your network carrier plan accordingly

Android users have now the great opportunity to make statistics of their call history and messages. Thanks to the new Callbook application developed by Melon Mobile (formerly WebGate JSC), Android smartphone users will be able to set up their phone plan according to these statistics. Basically, the application collects information related to their call and messaging logs and presents the summary in the form of a very concise report. Furthermore, Callbook is a free application and does not require them to register, but it will ask users to activate it as soon as they start it, or after a month of use. This can be done for free and the activation is only used for statistic purposes.

Callbook can be downloaded directly from the Android Market by pointing your Android device's browser on the developer's webpage or you can do it manually, directly from your PC. After you start the application, you will be shown a main screen, which contains shortcuts to most of the sections, but also in-depth information about each of them. There are four sections that can be juggled with and that can help you determine which carrier you are calling the most or how much you usually talk monthly or weekly.

Summary – displays the total number of calls received, the total number of calls and the total number of messages. Contacts – displays the total number of contacts from your Phonebook with activities logged into the application, the average number of calls per contact, and the average number of SMS messages per contact. Highlights – displays the number of calls from non-Phonebook contacts. Prefix Groups – displays statistics about calls and messages sorted by number prefixes.
These summary views can be easily accessed directly from the main screen. You will be able to see all entries by event type: incoming call, outgoing call, missed call, incoming text messaging, outgoing text messaging. All summaries can be seen on a certain period (weekly, monthly, yearly) in the form of statistics.
