Commuters try to get to work at 7:30 a.m., passing through Xierqi station

There aren't a lot of videos from China, but I am glad that YouTube user BeijingCream uploaded one chronicling what the commute is like in the capital city.

This clip makes me never complain about over-crowded means of public transportation again.

It shows what looks like thousands of people in a subway station, trying to the get on a train in Beijing. Those who do make it inside are crammed like sardines.

There is even a bouncer maneuvering people at the door. Several passengers are pushed in and a teenage girl is grabbed by the arm and literally thrown out.

According to the Beijing Cream website, this video was probably captured at the Xierqi station on Thursday, July 18, at 7:30 a.m.

A photo of the station was also sent out by Twitter user Joe Xu, and it seems that this is one of the cleaner stations in the Beijing subway system.
