A few days ago, Xiaomi unveiled what was rumored for a few months now, its own action camera to compete against the likes of GoPro.

The mini device is called the Yi Camera (or Mi Pro) and arrives in the wild with a 16MP Sony Exmor R sensor with f/2.8 aperture and 155-degree lens.

Albeit a few months ago we told you that the Xiaomi GoPro-style camera might be able to shoot in 4K, in reality it turns out the device isn't equipped with the standard.

The real-life Yi can capture 1080p at 60fps, 720p at 120fps or 480p at 240fps. If you have been wondering about the class of results you’ll be able to produce using Xiaomi’s tiny action hero, the first official photo samples plus a video have made their way online (as seen at Oizoioi). You can check all of them below.

The Xiaomi Mi Pro Action Camera will be offered in jungle green and white, and purchasing it will take only $64 / €57 out of your pocket.

We mentioned above that the action camera would be marketed as the Yi Camera in China, but Xiaomi has plans of offering the device (as the Mi Pro Action Camera) on the European and American markets as well. Xiaomi is branching out!
