As you probably know if you’re a Bing user, Microsoft keeps changing the background of the search engine page with astonishing pictures belonging to professional photographers from around the world.

This time, however, Microsoft has made something really unique. Instead of a picture, Redmond turned to a looping video showing hot lava from a Hawaiian volcano falling into the ocean.

The video can be seen right now by simply loading the Bing homepage in any modern browser, including Internet Explorer and Firefox. Note that you need to switch to the US (English) version to see the video.

Just like it does every time, Microsoft has also published a few info boxes on the homepage to let users find out some pretty interesting facts about this volcano, including an almost complete destruction of Kalapana in 1986.
