The tablets are powered by a MediaTek processor and should sell with low prices

You have probably heard of the Lenovo Yoga tablet, which can stand on its own and has been launched by Ashton Kutcher himself.

The slate has been quite popular among consumers, especially due to the fact that it has a built-in stand that allows it to remain up-right when users are watching a video or viewing a presentation.

The 8-inch variation of the Yoga will set customers back with $249 / €181, while the larger 10.1-inch one costs $299 / €217. But if that sounds a little too much for your taste, let’s turn our gaze on Computex, in the hopes of finding an alternative.

The folks of MobileGeeks have stumbled exactly upon one such creature. The Yoga clone comes from obscure brand MyTimes, which has put up a tablet equipped with a hinge reminiscent of the Lenovo tablets that makes for a very swell kickstand.

Well, of course, the performance and quality are not really comparable. The MyTimes tablet bundles a MediaTek processor and does not run Android 4.4. KitKat out of the box. On the other hand, neither do the Yoga tablets, but an upgrade has been promised to arrive soon.

A few design changes are also visible with the knock-off, including a different configuration when we’re talking buttons and speakers. Moreover, the tablet’s back is not made of metal, but the hinge per se it. MyTimes offers 8-inch and 10-inch form factors with dual-SIM capabilities.

Pricing hasn't been revealed yet, but the slates will surely be priced very competitively to stir you away from the Yogas.
