Google is celebrating Martin Luther King Jr Day in the US today with a dedicated doodle. The doodle is only visible to US visitors. It depicts Martin Luther King and others around the Google logo. The doodle is a special commission and was not drawn by Google's in-house artists.

It was created by Faith Ringgold, famous for her painted story quilts. She used a similar style in the doodle, which has the famous words of Martin Luther King surrounding the Google logo.

The doodle contains the words "I have a dream that my four little children will not be judged by their color of their skin" and "I have a dream today," "we shall overcome someday" all from the famous "I have a dream... " speech.

The doodle will be live on Google's new doodles website soon if you don't live in the US, but in the meantime you can check it out above.

Is this some kind of Joke? He has lynch rope letters around his neck. Are you blind! Google has created outrage in America with this hand drawn picture of MLK’s face and Google rope around his neck seven times. This picture is a caricature of MLK and disrespectful to the over several thousands of people who died by lynching during slavery. It is disrespectful to African Americans today and all American people who value diversity and peace among all people. Wow GOOGLE. “HAHA, so … funny.. right? – NOT!!!”
