Starting with July 30, the new iPhone 4 is available for purchase in a wider range of markets around the world. The handset was officially launched in June, when Apple made it available in a small number of markets, but, at the end of July, it was put on sale via wireless carriers and retailers in various corners of the world, where it also sports quite different price tags, as some of the latest reports on the Internet suggest.

A very interesting infographic from iFun shows how the new iPhone 4 devices are being priced all around the world. All the price tags in the shot attached to this article are displayed in Euros, and they refer only to devices that are being sold unlocked on the market. However, it seems that not all countries where the device is currently available were included in the graph, due to the fact that in some markets the iPhone is tied to a carrier's network.

A quick look at the shot would easily unveil that the new iPhone 4 sports the cheapest price tags in Hong Kong. The iPhone 4 16GB is available for only 496 Euros (around $653) on the Hong Kong market, while the iPhone 4 32GB can be purchased there for 585 Euros.

At the other end, Italy is the country where iPhone 4 costs the most, as users would have to pay 659 Euros there for the 16GB iPhone 4 model, or 779 Euros (over $1000) for the 32GB flavor of the device.

For what it's worth, it seems that the price tag for the iPhone 4 is higher in European countries than it is in Asian markets. However, this won't determine users to head to other countries just to purchase the iPhone 4 for a lower price tag. As it usually happens, most of them would try to benefit from the offerings local wireless carriers have put in place for them, that's for sure. However, it is interesting to see the huge price difference the device sports in various markets, especially since no official explanation on why things are this way was offered.
