A brand new report has appeared online once again claiming that a cheaper Xbox One console with a price tag of $399 or €399 will appear without a Kinect peripheral, this time saying that it's going to launch in summer at the earliest.

The Xbox One has been once again beaten by Sony in terms of sales for the month of January, so rumors about Microsoft releasing a cheaper version of its console to counter the lower-priced PS4 have started brewing once again.

This time, NeoGAF's CBoaT has speculated that a new Xbox One edition without a Kinect and with a lower price of 399 USD/EUR will appear in summer at the earliest, and that everything will be decided around May, when Microsoft examines the overall sales figures.

As of yet, however, it's still unclear how Microsoft plans on making a comeback.
