Who wouldn't like to own an outstanding NVIDIA GeForce8800 graphics card? Well, in case you aren't betting on AMD/ATI's R600 GPUs and can't really afford a liquid-cooled high-end GeForce8800, BFG might have exactly what you are looking for: a cheaper GeForce8800 GTS card. BFG Tech thought about those budget customers and prepares to launch an affordable high-end card.

The new 8800 GTS OC 320MB PCI Express graphics card offers uncompromised support for Microsoft's DirectX 10 API, while the fully implemented Shader Model 4.0 support delivers unparalleled levels of graphics realism and film-quality effects. The budget card supports only PCIe X16 slots and integrates two Dual-Link DVI-I connectors, as well as an HDTV + TV outlet. The GeForce 8800 chipset is clocked at 550 MHz and the included 320 DDR3-SDRAM runs at 1600MHz.

The package also includes two DVI to VGA adapters, a dual 4-pin Molex to 6-pin PCIe power adapter, one HDTV dongle and the card supports features such as:

- NVIDIA Lumenex? Engine, which delivers stunning image quality and floating point accuracy at ultra-fast frame rates. - NVIDIA Quantum Effects? Technology that enables a new level of physics effects to be simulated and rendered on the GPU, while at the same time freeing the CPU to run the game engine and AI. - NVIDIA ForceWare Unified Driver Architecture (UDA), said to deliver improved compatibility, reliability, and stability with the widest range of games and applications.

The estimated release date for this graphics card is around February 17, 2007, and CompUSA already allows buyers to pre-order it for $349.99. However, you may want to wait a little bit more for NVIDIA's final DX10 drivers, before buying one of these cards.
