A lower-priced Xbox One is coming this year, apparently

Another report about a cheaper Xbox One priced at $399 or €399 has just appeared online, this time claiming that Microsoft is going to debut a fresh version of the console.

The Xbox One came out last year and its sales are already lagging behind the PS4's figures, mainly because of the price, as Sony's device costs 399 USD/EUR, while Microsoft charges 499 USD/EUR for its gadget.

After a new leak appeared earlier this week, claiming that Microsoft will release a new version of the console without a Blu-ray drive to cut the final price, another report has surfaced online.

This time around, VG247 is claiming that Microsoft will, in fact, release a cheaper Xbox One, but that it's unclear how it will manage to lower the final price to 399 USD/EUR.

Unfortunately, not much else is known so expect to hear some official announcements from Microsoft later in the year, probably at E3 2014.
