Cheap iPod Refurbs Available Starting at $39

Upon taking down its web store and then putting it back online last week, Apple merely cut the prices on some of its refurbished products, including old-generation iPod nanos and shuffles. Although lacking the new, built-in camera, 8GB nanos are now available for just $99, with the 1GB shuffle being priced at just $39 – likely the smallest price for an iPod we’ve seen at Apple.

A Refurbished iPod nano 8GB (previous generation) is capable of holding up to 2,000 songs and offers up to 24 hours of music playback and up to four hours of video playback, Apple says. Weighing just 1.3 ounces and measuring 3.6 x 1.5 x 0.24 inches, the refurbished iPod ships with Apple Earphones, a USB cable and a Dock adapter. Apple has many refurbished units on sale, spanning most available colors (black, silver, pink, blue, yellow, etc.). The Refurbished iPod nano 16GB (previous generation) offering twice the storage and costs just 30 dollars more – $129.

Although Apple includes free shipping on orders no lower than 50 dollars' worth, the Refurbished iPod shuffle 1GB seems to be an exception. Arriving for free at your doorstep within 24 hours (in the US), the old but stylish iPod can hold up to 240 songs (AAC), goes up to 12 hours of music playback and weighs a meagre 0.55 ounces. The 1.62 x 1.07 x 0.41 shuffle also ships with Apple Earphones and an included Dock in the box. Four colors are available for this model. The 2GB version of the shuffle (also refurbished) costs $59.
