The Special Deals area of Apple’s online store appears to be chock full of refurbished Macs looking for an owner, with Apple listing the cheapest price ever for a MacBook Air - $849, and $599 for its streamlined Mac mini with a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU.

Originally released in June 2010, the Mac mini Apple is selling for $599 as a ‘special deal’ and boasts a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB memory, 320GB hard drive, HDMI port with support for up to 1920-by-1200 resolution, SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics with 256MB memory.

The offer saves customers 100 bucks.

An old-generation Mac mini refurb which comes pre-installed with Snow Leopard Server boasts 2.53GHz of raw processing power (Intel Core 2 Duo), 4GB memory, Dual 500GB hard drives (one of which replaces the optical drive), and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics with 256MB memory.

The system was originally released in late 2009 and now costs $749 as a refurb ($250 off its original retail price).

The aforementioned refurbished MacBook Air equipped with a 1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU and originally released in October 2010, boasts a small but attractive 11.6-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, 2GB memory, 64GB solid-state drive, NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics, and a built-in iSight camera (not the FaceTime HD camera found on Apple’s newer MacBooks).

The tiny, ultra-thin laptop goes for $849, which saves customers $150.

The thought-to-be-discontinued White MacBook is still alive and kicking with an unchanged price tag of $999, though Apple has one for $849, saving you 15% on the purchase of a Mac laptop.

Originally released in May 2010, the refurbished notebook ships with 2GB (2 x 1GB) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM, 250GB Serial ATA @ 5400 rpm, 8x double-layer SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory, and a 13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display.

To benefit on these offers, as well as to check out the rest of the deals - too many to mention in a single report - visit Apple’s online store here.
