Chaz Bono and his longtime girlfriend turned fiancée Jennifer Elia are no longer together. Following some reports in the tabloids that he'd grown tired of Jennifer, confirmation comes that the two have called it quits.
Just the other day, The National Enquirer ran a story saying Chaz had decided to ditch Jennifer to the curb to get together with a woman who would be more into playing the fame game than she was.
Not many paid attention to the report because it came from the Enquirer and it has a long history with Chaz and writing defamatory articles about him.
Today, it's Chaz himself who's confirming the news, E! News informs.
“Thanks for your concern about our separation. I'm doing fine, and we remain on good terms with nothing but respect and affection 4 each other,” Chaz says.
His rep tells E! that there will be no more statements in the future and that the former couple would appreciate it if the media kept their distance for a while.
“They ask that you respect their privacy at this time,” says the publicist.
No word on what led to the split, especially since it comes no more than a month after Chaz proposed to Jennifer on his OWN reality show in what was dubbed, at the time, the most awkward marriage proposal of all times.
As noted above, there is a lot of speculation that he was the one doing the breaking up, having decided that he can do better than Jennifer and that his newfound fame required a woman willing to bask in the spotlight with him.
“He wanted someone who could ride the wave of success with him but found Jen too much of a downer. Chaz is already on the lookout for someone new and made it clear to Jen. He told her, 'I've tried, but you just aren't right for me. I've got to move on',” an unnamed source told the Enquirer the other day.
Just like a man... dump the woman who stayed by your side & loved you no matter what, because she doesn't want to play the "fame game"? Be ashamed of your self Chaz....you just proved you're a * ....Good job being a man so far, gonna be a * now? You still have no penis...thats going to limit what women will have you. I always liked you, no matter if you were gay or transgenered or whatever, but now your an * , and now you can worry if a woman is with you because she loves you, like Jenny so obviously does, or is using you. Excactly what you deserve...A**HOLE!

I agree with you 100%. Too much tetestrone (sp) for sure. I had been supportive of Chaz but he's proved men don't think with their brains. I hope Jen realizes she can do a hell of a lot better!!! If you watched the documentary you could see a change in attitude taking place the longer he was on the hormone shots. Sooo sad!
Jen was a downer alway depressed on the show the relationship was over then, Chaz tried to make it work but she made it impossible who wants to live their life being unhappy. Good Luck to both!

Tried to make it work??? Are you kidding??? The crap she had to deal with through out this entire process...oh poor Chaz...screw him!
