ChatON for iPhone Now Supports Samsung Accounts

Samsung’s cross-platform communications solution ChatON has reached version 2.0 on iOS allowing iPhone and iPad users to log into the app using their Samsung account.

ChatOn 2.0 now lets you connect up to 5 devices with your Samsung Account and offers privacy settings, including one option to toggle your profile image ON and OFF. The same goes for your Samsung Account and phone number.

The changelog further mentions an “Open API” as well as an ON/OFF setting for Interaction Rank. Users also get the ability to sort their Anicon downloads by Best, New, Character, or Title. The user interface has been updated as well.

Samsung makes an important note regarding Interaction Rank, stating “From ChatON version 2.0, the calculation system of interaction rank has been simplified […] Your current interaction rank will be deleted and restarted with the new version.”

ChatON requires any iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad that can handle iOS 4.3 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone 5.
