After criticizing Pete Doherty during an interview for Marie Claire magazine, by saying Doherty is a 'w**ker', and advising him to visit Thai orphans, to re-evaluate how terrible his life really is, Charlotte Church strikes again.
Now, Charlotte, 19, declared she's infuriated with singers like Pete, who incur themselves a stereotypical image of "tortured souls", arguing a hard life is not a credit for good music.
Church declared that despite her lovely family and lovely boyfriend, she still has a successful career and makes good music.
She says: "I don't buy that idea that you need to have had a hard life to make that kind of music. OK, I'm rich and famous, I've got a lovely family and a lovely boyfriend. Although I have had hard times, I'm just not a tortured soul.
"Mind you, Pete Doherty's not that good anyway. Creates all this misery for himself to write songs and then doesn't even turn up to play them.
"And they're not that good anyway, are they?"
