Actress Charlotte Church has been named as Woman of the Year by GQ magazine last night in London's Royal Opera House.
Church, 19, who was accompanied by her boyfriend, rugby star Gavin Henson, was the only female winner at the men's magazine's annual awards, picking up the trophy for Woman Of The Year.
GQ editor Dylan Jones said: "Charlotte Church is our Woman of the Year simply because she is larger than life. She is a great singer, a tabloid giant, and enjoys life to the full.
GQ is not just a magazine that celebrates supermodels, we celebrate role models too, and in her own very particular way, Charlotte Church is a role model.
She might not be to everyone's taste, but the fact that she doesn't care about that makes her even more wonderful," Jones added.
Rapper Jay-Z was named International Man of the Year, Coldplay took the Band Of The Year awards and Live 8 organizer Bob Geldof was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution Of The Year gong.
