"The Voice of an Angel" soprano Charlotte Church defended Tom Cruise - Katie Holmes relationship, sustaining that Cruise really loves Holmes and their engagement is not a publicity stunt.

Charlotte, 19, declared she met the Hollywood actor backstage on US TV's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and was surprised by his sincerity.

She said: "He was so genuine. I can't believe that he'd be going out with Katie Holmes if he didn't love her."

According to rumors, Cruise is also a Charlotte's fan, declaring many times that his children are listening her album whenever they go to sleep.

Charlotte Church is known for having an opinion on everybody. During the last weeks, she criticized Pope Benedict XVI, Tara Reid, and Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Coldplay's music and Pete Doherty.
