Charlize Theron has always been considered one of the most elegant and stylish presences in Hollywood, constantly managing to combine the required dose of classiness with more daring elements. Her latest appearance, though, has truly left fans in Paris gasping for air as she walked the red carpet in a stunning gold mini-dress and towering spiked high heels, showing off her gorgeous legs, several fashion publications report.

On the red carpet to promote her latest film, “The Burning Plain,” helmed by Guillermo Arriaga, Charlize was truly a vision of gold lame and spiked heels, it has been said. Showing that, indeed, ‘80s powerdressing was back, Theron showed off her amazing legs in a mini Lanvin creation with mid-length sleeves and asymmetric design on the shoulder.

The strongest points of her outfit were, though, the killer Dior pumps, measuring no less than five inches high and with a spiked golden heel. Even if the shoes seemed a bit difficult to walk in on the red carpet – proof of that being several photos showing Charlize walking with her knees bent forward, as if trying to keep her balance – they more than did their job at placing all the emphasis on the lower part of her body.

Charlize matched the lame mini-dress with a golden oversized ring, choosing to go for a clutch that went perfectly with her shoes and black nail polish. As for makeup, since she has never quite been a fan of the dramatic look, here too she kept it simple, with just some brownish shadows around the eyes and a peachy lipstick. What with the perfectly blonde updo, the incredibly tanned and toned legs, and the shiny mini-dress, Charlize positively seemed to have been ripped off the pages of a beauty magazine, it has been claimed.

“The Burning Plain,” starring Theron and Kim Basinger as daughter and mother trying to mend their broken relationship, will be released in France on March 11. Whereas fans might have gotten a chance to sneak a peek at the film at the Savannah Film and Video Festival, where it premiered last October, most will have to wait until September 2009 for a nationwide release.
