The 32-year-old South African star and Oscar winner Charlize Theron has just been appointed the sexiest woman alive - and just a quick look at these photos will make you go "damn right". Theron has followed in the proud footsteps of famous predecessors such as Jessica Biel, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson whom she has just joined after being awarded the ultimate accolade of sexiest woman alive by Esquire magazine.
Charlize won her Oscar in 2003 after giving a chilling but extraordinarily convincing performance as prostitute serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the film suggestively called "Monster". She has since then graced the movie screens with other memorable performances and has managed to thrill audiences again this year with her part opposite Tommy Lee Jones in "In The Valley of Elah". Theron is celebrated in the Esquire's November issue with a very sexy photo shoot - and you can have a sneak peak at some of the hottest pictures in there.
Despite getting the much-coveted title, Theron is mature enough to admit that her looks have not always helped when it came to making good career choices. "Reindeer Games" she reminisces, "that was a bad, bad, bad movie. But even though the movie might suck, I got to work with John Frankenheimer. I wasn't lying to myself that's why I did it. I mean, he directed The Manchurian Candidate, which is like the movie of all movies".
Theron seems to have an appetite for controversial parts in controversial movies. After starring in "In the Valley of Elah", a movie which tackles the very sensitive issue of the American war in Irak, we will see her in the anti-globalism drama "The Battle for Seattle" which is directed by her Irish boyfriend Stuart Townsend. Even on the occasion of doing the Esquire photo shoot, Charlize gracefully used the magazine to take a swipe at the US government.
"I grew up in a country that learned the lesson that you can't impose your way of life on 26 different kinds of people just because you call yourself righteous. I think there are lessons this country still has to learn", she said, meaning America. Well, politics or no politics, we all enjoy a piece of the stunning Charlize, and will he happy of every opportunity we get to see her face in the news and on magazine covers. So enjoy!
